Why are reporters being attacked?
American and other ethnicities of reporters are being attacked in Cairo, Egypt to send a message to stay out. Journalists from every country in the world at being beaten, detained and even jumped. The vice president of Egypt states that the reports are contribuating to the problem and need to stop putting so much attention on what's going on. But what is actually going on? The Egyption president has been forced to step down. Arabs want Egypt to become Arabic. Hopes are that Egypt will remain an allie, but it unclear at this point. Reporters are still getting stories and putting them on the news obviously because we know they got attacked. Imagin this; if it wouldn't have been for reporters, news and TV we wouldn't even know there was anything going on Egypt. The government of Egypt has shut down cell phone service, television and internet for this very reason. People are being encouraged to go out in the streets and protest but if they can't use cell phones, television or the internet to tell other people to go out, this will hopefully slow things down.
